GAME DAY

 Starting off today on Field B was the VFW POST 4300 vs Ben & Jerry's

Ben & Jerrys got off to a good start and had a tight hold on VFW POST 4300 for the first 4 innings. 

The VFW team was not going to stand for that much longer as their bats came alive in the 5th and 6th innings and never looked back.

Final score: VFW POST 4300 - 16, Ben & Jerry's -11

Bobby Vasher had 4 hits and some great defensive plays at short stop.

Meanwhile, Billy Sorenson, Chris Wills and Jim Polatty each chipped in with 3 hits.

Alan Jay Auto vs Elk's Lodge 1529

The second game on Field E today found top seeded Alan Jay Auto looking in on the other side of the fence.

The Elks Lodge was too much for Alan Jay Auto in the Feb. 3 game with a score of 19-7. The score was 12-7 beginning the 8th inning but the Elks poured it on with 7 runs. Alan Jay was not able to come back. Alan Jay was led by Dick Cook with 3-3 hitting including a triple, a run scored and an rbi. Eddie Tei also was 3-3 with a run scored. Mike Martino had 2 rbis and Steve Smutnick and Dave Conrad each had 2 hits. Cook and Dan Slot made several good plays in the field. Alan Jay absorbed their first loss for a record of 7-1.

McPhail's Auto put another win under their belt defeating Lakeside Dermatology 15 -5

 Highlights for Lakeside Dermatology include:

Curt Glassman pitched another good game and hit another home run.

Vince Ferrer went 3 for 3 with a triple.

Bones McCoy went 3 for 3 with a double.

McPhails played great defense.
