Well, two games today had to go into EXTRA INNINGS to get a winner.
VFW Post 4300 vs ELKS Lodge 1529
On Field "A" the VFW team and the ELKS team went head to head and run for run right down to the wire and it had to go into the 9th inning to get things sorted out.

VFW matched hitter for hitter but couldn't hang on to the lead forcing ELKS to win it in the bottom of the 9th by a score of 21 -20
Of Note....Kenny Haney had a tremendous play from center field tossing the runner out at home !
ALAN JAY AUTO vs LAKESIDE DERMATOLOGY
On Field "E" these two teams also got into a battle and bringing the game to 9 innings to find a winner.
Alan Jay Auto pulled off an extra-inning win over Lakeside Dermatology by the score of 18-16. Alan Jay had built an early lead of 10-6 after four innings, but Lakeside made it 11-11 after five innings. From there it went back and forth with a 16-16 tie at the end of 8 innings. Alan Jay put up two runs in their top half of the ninth with dramatic hits by Terry Avery and Cathy Collier to drive in Dick Cook and pinch runner Dan Slot. Lakeside failed to score in their last of the ninth resulting in a win for Alan Jay Auto. Alan Jay's offense was led by Mike Martino who was 4-5 with 4 RBIs. Ron Barts had 3 hits and 4 RBIs also. Don Dobbert, Dan Slot, and Eddie Tei each had 3 hits and 3 runs scored. Steve Smutnick and Dan Crosier each chipped in with 3 hits. Alan Jay Auto's record improved to 9-2.
