Coaches should contact you if they are holding batting practice those days.
Should your coach decide to hold batting practice, it will start at 10AM

Sebring Senior Softball continued action on Tuesday January 20
McPhails Auto Sales beat the Sebring Elks 25 to 16 by scoring 10 runs after the Elks had led up to the 8th inning. McPhails 10 run 8th inning explosion was led by Pastor Greg Ramos’ 3 run-home run. The rules are that a maximum of 5 runs per inning are allowed until the 8th inning, which is the open inning where an unlimited number of runs may be scored. Elks Ernie Greathouse, a new player made 3 great catches in left field along with3 hits and Michele Kapinsky made 3 outstanding defensive plays. Charlie Cervantes pitched a great game for the winners. For the Elks, 5 players including Paul Marcellus, Kel Bollinger, Stan Brownell, Rick Hosea, and J.R. Reed were all 3-for-4.
The Ben & Jerry's team finally broke into the win column, beating Lakeside Dermatology 15-4. The ice cream boys started out losing their first three games, but came alive on Tuesday. Winning pitcher Dick Mooney was outstanding considering the strong wind, and he helped his cause going 4-for-5. Mid fielder Steve Woodworth turned two double plays, scored 3 runs, and went 4-for-4. Slick fielding shortstop Steve Dierdorff (double, singles) and outfielder Don Cunningham, an army veteran and proud to have served with the 82nd Airborne had (3 hits) made some outstanding plays on defense. Catcher J.C. Brown best-known railroad man in Indiana and back in the day was a fullback for Indiana University also stroked 3 hits. Roland Puebla was solid at second base and ripped 2 singles, and scored 2 runs. Scott Storch who is from Green Bay Wisconsin and lived 3 blocks from Lambeau Field made some great plays from third base despite playing on one leg and had 2 hard hit singles. Lakeside Dermatology welcomed back Jack Nartker who played 1st base. Lakeside’s Curt Glassman had three hits and played an excellent shortstop. Coach Chuck Lepo had three hits.
The 2 undefeated teams opposed each other with Alan Jay edging VFW 21-19 to take sole possession of 1st place. For the winners Ken Lloyd went 4-for-4, Terry Avery had 3 hits and 3 RBIs and Dan Slot hit a home run over the fence. Coach Dave Conrad had 5 RBIs and was 3-for-3 with 5 RBIs. Five other players had 3 hits. VFW’s Bill Sorenson, Randy Noack, and Jim Polatty all had 3 hits with Chris Wills going 4-for-4. Both teams 0utfielders made great catches on a very windy day.
