The wind was mild...the air was cool...BUT ... These games played were PRETTY HOT and could have gone EITHER WAY !!
Outstanding hitting and fielding mixed in with a few miss cues and bad instances gave way to some pretty exciting and lip biting games. Even the new rabbit rule came into play during a couple games ( Hey... It's early.. we'll eventually get it 😉 )
All in all, they were very exciting games.

Lakeside vs Elks
Highlights for Lakeside Dermatology included:
Curt Glassman 3 hits, 2 RBI and pitched the whole game.
Vince Ferrer 4 hits and 3 RBIs.
Rod Lee had 3 hits, including a double and a triple.

Not a game for the faint of heart !
Alan Jay Auto hung on to win over Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream 16-15. Ben and Jerry's scored 6 runs in their last home team at bat which was the open inning. Ron Barts came in to pitch in relief of Terry Avery in the fourth and held them down until the outburst in the eighth. Leading the way in the hitting department was Mike Martino at 4-4, Dan Slot at 3-4 with a home run, Ron Barts at 3-4 with 4 RBIs and Dave Conrad at 3-5 with 4 RBIs and an inside the park home run. Steve Russell, Slot and Barts each scored 3 runs while Eddie Tei chipped in with a 2-4 and 2 runs scored. The Alan Jay Auto team record is now 7-0.
